General Purpose of the JobUn ipres
The general purpose of the Quality Team Leader job is to supervise quality associates. The TL is also responsible for making sure that certain projects (Records for TS & or New Model documents) are kept on task and completed by given deadline. He/she may task out given job duties to trained personnel to ensure jobs get done right and in time allotted. The TL also covers all associate jobs when the associate is unavailable (Call-out, lunch, break) or needs help with the tasks at hand. The TL may also fill in on certain functions if the Coordinator or Manager is unavailable. Ensure that Customer/s get what they need the way that they need it. Ensure repeatability and reliability of all processes for stamping and weld. Take all appropriate measures to ensure Customer satisfaction and trust on highest level possible. Plant must always be number one at everything the plant takes on. Position functions include, but not limited to, those set forth below.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
• Supervise quality associates.
• Train quality associates.
• Keep track of SPC charts.
• Answer Temporary C/M’s to the customer for trouble reports (Honda Portal- NARS).
• Issue UTR/RFI’s to respective departments (Review and accept/deny response).
• Issue/Sign-off on Sort Rework Operation Standards.
• Issue Quality Alerts.
• Issue COD’s.
• Keep track of NCM area.
• Update data sheets.
• Make Fixture Operation Standards.
• Assist with data collection.
• Review/update Quality Standards.
• Train Production/Stamping associates on use of fixtures (Feeler gauge/Step Block).
• Participate in all New Model event build.

• Conduct QAV’s.
• Sorting parts on behalf of supplier.
• Support dock audits, as needed.
• Die trials, as needed.
• Support ATOS, as needed.
• Support UT, as needed.
• Maintain acceptable attendance level according to UPAL Attendance Control Program.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point).

Decision Making Authority
Decisions within company and departmental policy limits.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended periods of time, lift up to 30lbs unassisted and anything above with the use of a proper lifting device. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear at moderate noise levels. The associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting may be required of this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment will include constantly working near moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to fumes and electric shock. Moderate to loud noise exposure occasionally. Ear, eye, head, foot, hand and arm protection is required.
