General Purpose of the Job
Ensure all departmental operations are running effectively in the aspects of SQCDM. This position requires
the ability to recognize, research, and develop improvement activities with a common goal of company
success. Effective communication is essential in all forms and with all levels of the workforce from the

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety: Enforce company and departmental rules to ensure a safe working environment for
all members and visitors. Create and implement new ideas to promote a safer work
environment. Investigate all incidents/accidents and provide concrete C/Ms.
Quality: Develop methods for inspecting quality and standardize. Enforce standards
being utilized and maintained. Modify standards for continuous improvement. Investigate
quality issues and implement C/Ms. Verify C/M effectiveness.
Cost: Ensure actual spending is less than plan. Develop kaizen for cost reduction. Collect
scrap and reject data. Develop material yield savings and reject rate reduction. Create
overtime plan for M/P and ensure less than plan. Research current vendors and negotiate
for cost competitiveness.
Delivery: Check production plan for accuracy according to current inventory levels.
Develop efficiency goals. Implement ideas for efficiency improvements. Make decisions
based on priority. Ensure customer requirement is met. Consider customer needs and
requests for packaging and logistics.
Manpower: Ensure M/P plan is met or under target. Investigate areas for M/P reduction.
Develop training plans for each departmental position.
Morale: Hold weekly departmental meetings with all associates to address concerns/issues
for positive communication flow. Update communication board to promote positive
internal competition.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Coordinator

This position manages all associates of the department and is responsible for the performance
management and hiring of the associates within that department.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one to two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum
requirements one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively
before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Coordinator

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and
Power Point).
